Eligibility: The return policy applies to customers who have purchased a Melin Cap directly from the official Melin Europe website.

Timeframe: Customers must initiate the return process within 30 days of the original purchase date. Returns requested after this period may not be accepted.

Condition of the Cap:The Melin Cap must be returned in its original, unused, and unworn condition, with all original tags, packaging, and accessories included. Any signs of wear, damage, or alteration may result in the return being rejected or a partial refund being issued.

Return Shipping:All returns and exchanges initiated within the United Kingdom (UK) are free of charge excluding Northern Ireland. EU Customers are responsible for the expenses related to shipping their returns, with the exception being instances where the return is necessitated by a manufacturing defect or an error on the part of Melin. It is strongly advised that EU Customers select a shipping method that offers tracking capabilities to guarantee the secure transit of their return. Furthermore, retaining proof of shipment is highly recommended. EU Customers should utilize our dedicated returns portal to provide the tracking number associated with their shipment.

Refund or Exchange: 
Rest easy, we offer free returns and exchanges within 30 days for items purchased at melinbrand.co.uk. Items must be in new, unused condition with the original packaging and tags.

We offer three options for returns and exchanges.

  1. Exchange for another colour or size
  2. Return for an eGift Card
  3. Return for a refund back to the original payment method.  If you no longer have access to the original payment method, please select an eGift Card as your refund option instead.

If you would like to exchange for a different product, you can return your item for an eGift Card to purchase another item on our website. We will begin processing your new order or email your eGift Card as soon as the Return Bar processes your exchange.

Upon receiving and inspecting the returned cap, Melin will determine if it meets the return criteria. Customers may choose between a refund or an exchange for a different cap of equal or lesser value. If the customer opts for an exchange, any price difference will be handled separately.

Shipping charges are not refundableunless your item is deemed faulty.

Return Form

Refund Processing: It can take up to 28 days for your return to be approved for a refund or exchange. Melin Europe will process the refund to the original payment method used during the purchase. Refunds may take several business days to appear in the customer's account.

Please note: It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your card details i.e. you no longer have that account. We aim to refund you within 28 days of receiving the returned item.

We reserve the right to refuse any returned item that does not meet reasonable condition and quality standards upon inspection, and any item that is deemed defective and/or damaged at the fault of the customer.

Refunds are available up to 30 days starting from your purchase date. 

Exclusions:Customised or personalized caps are generally not eligible for return unless there is a manufacturing defect or an error on Melin's part. 

Limited Warranty: Melin Europe offers a limited warranty on manufacturing defects for a specific period of two years. Customers experiencing such issues should contact Melin customer support for assistance.

Non-compliance:Melin reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet the specified terms and conditions or exhibit signs of misuse, abuse, or damage caused by the customer.

ight of return and refund

This clause only applies if you are a consumer.
If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel a contract during the period set out below. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or for any other reason you decide you do not want to keep a product, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the contract and receive a refund. Advice about your legal right to cancel the contract is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.
However, this cancellation right does not apply in the case of:
• any made-to-measure or custom-made products or products made to your specification or clearly personalised;
• newspapers, periodicals or magazines;
• perishable goods, such as food, drink or fresh flowers;
• software, DVDs or CDs which have a security seal which you have opened or unsealed.
Your legal right to cancel a contract starts from the date of the dispatch confirmation. If the products have already been delivered to you, you have a period of 7 (seven) working days in which you may cancel, starting from the day after the day you receive the products. Working days means that Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays are not included in this period.
To cancel an order, [please contact us in writing to tell us by sending an e-mail to europe@melinbrand.com or please contact our customer services telephone line. You may wish to keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records. If you send us your cancellation notice by e-mail, then your cancellation is effective from the date you sent us the e-mail. [If you call us to notify us of your cancellation, then your cancellation is effective from the date you telephone us.]
You will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the products, this does not include postage costs unless the item is deemed faulty. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 calendar days of the day on which you gave us notice of cancellation.

We refund you on the payment method used by you to pay.
If the products were delivered to you:
• you must return the products to us as soon as reasonably practicable;
• you will be responsible for the cost of returning the products to us unless the item is deemed faulty. We refund the full value of the postage costs for reasons a) the incorrect item was dispatched b) the item is deemed faulty.
• you have a legal obligation to keep the products in your possession and to take reasonable care of the products while they are in your possession.

Faulty Product
Please note that any products returned to us which you claim to be defective will be checked and verified by our technicians. Any returned products that are not found to be defective will be returned to you and we shall charge you for the returned transport costs via your original payment method or hold the product until full payment has been received by us for the return transport costs.
If you notify a problem to us under this condition, our only obligation will be, at your option:
(a) to make good any shortage or non-delivery;
(b) to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or
(c) to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question as above.


Your right of cancellation – FOR UK AND INTERNATIONAL CONSUMERS ONLY
This section applies to consumers only (and not to businesses or other organisations) who order goods.
You have the right to cancel your order with Melin Brand Ltd at any time up to 7 working days after you receive the goods, in line with The Distance Selling Regulations. To cancel your order in this time frame you must notify us in writing, by email at europe@melin.com
You will be responsible for returning the goods to Melin Brand Ltd at your own cost unless the goods are faulty or mis-described.
No right of cancellation, refund or return exists under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 once you have used your product unless the product is defective and you are returning it for this reason.
Upon receipt of the goods, You will be credited within 30 days of notifying Melin Brand Ltd of the cancellation. We will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required, less (if for any reason these costs have not been paid by you) the costs of delivery to us.

Limitation of Liability
The Company will not be liable to you for any loss or damage in circumstances where:
(a) There is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by the supplier or by its employees or agents;
(b) Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach;
(c) Any increase in loss or damage resulting from breach by you of any term of this contract.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
